Army Nurse Recognition

The Chief, Army Nurse Corps, Award of Excellence recognizes outstanding junior Army Nurse Corps officers from all components who have made significant contributions to the accomplishment of the Army Medical Department mission and who have performed in an outstanding manner in support of the Soldier. The Chief, Army Nurse Corps (ANC) supervises the nomination and selection processes. All company grade ANC officers of each component are eligible for nomination. The award recognizes a period of sustained outstanding performance instead of a single outstanding action.

1. Awarding authority:  Chief, ANC
2. OTSG Regulation # 15-84 24 June 1998
3. Open to all AN Comps Company grade officers.
4. One recipient from each Compo.
5. Award comprised of AAM, and AMEDD/Corps Wide recognition.
6. Full funding for recipients by ANC.
7. Presented during CJ Conference traditionally held during October in D.C. area.
