The Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) Advanced Military Nursing Practice
Award, sponsored by the Army Nurse Corps Association, honors a CPT
(P), MAJ, or LTC who has contributed significantly to the practice of nursing
during the preceding 2 years. This annual award is separate and distinct from
any others that may be given for particularly outstanding duty performance.
Individuals nominated may be from any component - Active, USAR or ARNG.
The nominator may be in the nominee’s supervisory chain or even a peer.
- Award authority: ANC/ANCA
- SOP at Corps level which serves as an agreement between ANC and ANCA
- Open to all Comps CPT (p) thru LTC.
- One recipient
- Award comprised of receipt of the ANC Medallion, a letter 9of commendation from the Chief, ANC and recognition within the corps at AN.
- No funding requirements at ANC level.
- Award presented at an A.N.C.A. Chapter closest to the recipients duty location during an AN anniversary celebration traditionally in the month of February.
