The Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) Advanced Military Nursing Practice Award

Army Nurse Recognition

The Army Nurse Corps Association (ANCA) Advanced Military Nursing Practice
Award, sponsored by the Army Nurse Corps Association, honors a CPT
(P), MAJ, or LTC who has contributed significantly to the practice of nursing
during the preceding 2 years. This annual award is separate and distinct from
any others that may be given for particularly outstanding duty performance.
Individuals nominated may be from any component - Active, USAR or ARNG.
The nominator may be in the nominee’s supervisory chain or even a peer.

  1. Award authority: ANC/ANCA
  2. SOP at Corps level which serves as an agreement between ANC and ANCA
  3. Open to all Comps CPT (p) thru LTC.
  4. One recipient
  5. Award comprised of receipt of the ANC Medallion, a letter 9of commendation from the Chief, ANC and recognition within the corps at AN.
  6. No funding requirements at ANC level.
  7. Award presented at an A.N.C.A. Chapter closest to the recipients duty location during an AN anniversary celebration traditionally in the month of February.
